Stamp Duty Reduction for a Period of Three (3) Months

Commencing 1st April to 30th June 2008

Rate reduction from 9.75% to 6% on transactions valuing in excess of $300,000 on Providenciales and nearby Cays under schedule 1, Head 4 subparagraph C (ii) of the stamp duty ordinance.
Rate reduction from 9.75% to 5% on transactions valuing $300,000 or below on Providenciales and nearby Cays under schedule 1, Head 4, subparagraph C(ii) of the stamp duty ordinance. This was aimed at stimulating affordable housing uptake.
Rate reduction for 5% to 3% on all transactions on Grand Turk, North Caicos, South Caicos, Middle Caicos and Salt Cay.
